Workshops teaching practical skills to make biochar boost soil and crop yields sustainably.
Biochar is a soil additive that farmers can make from their own agricultural byproduct without any specialized equipment. It increases yields by increasing soil carbon content. Biochar is a combination of organic and inorganic carbon that, once added to soil, remains for decades.
MicroSoleil chose biochar training as its first activity because making and using biochar requires nothing but expertise and time. The farmers who made and used biochar after participating in our workshops saw significant increases in their yields in the first growing season.
Agro-forestry
Our agro-forestry program is to encourage smallholder farmers to plant trees and shrubs that combat erosion and replenishes the soil.

This project aims to develop a user-friendly mobile application that enhances productivity and organization. Through intuitive design and seamless functionality, users can efficiently manage tasks, set reminders, and collaborate with team members.
