We want to see more products in stores that are made by Gambians from local materials. We want to identify products that can be made at home or in a village from local fruit and plants--tea or herbs for health, powders for use in cooking, skin or hair products. We want to find a market for these products, to give people a choice between industrial, imported products and local, natural ones. These products could help the Gambians who produce them, as well as those who buy them. If you would like to partner with us to help your homemade specialty reach a wider market, please get in touch.
We are looking for ideas that can enhance food processing techniques, reduce waste, improve product quality, and create economic opportunities for farmers and local communities.
